What ReplyMint does
ReplyMint is a Chrome extension that reads the Gmail thread you are currently viewing, summarises it, and drafts a suggested reply — all without you leaving Gmail. You review and edit the draft before sending anything.
Email content — what we do NOT store
We do not store, log, or retain your email content. When you click "Summarize Thread" or "Draft Reply", the text of the selected email thread is sent to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection and then forwarded to OpenAI solely to generate the summary or draft. Neither our servers nor OpenAI retain that text after the response is returned. The draft is delivered directly to you and never written to any database.
Information we do collect
- Account information — your email address, used to create and identify your account.
- Usage metadata — a count of how many AI drafts you have generated this month, used to enforce plan limits. We record the AI model used, approximate token counts, and selected tone/length. No email body, subject, or sender details are included.
- Billing information — handled entirely by Paddle. We receive only a customer ID, subscription status, and the email address needed to link your subscription to your account. We never see or store payment card details.
- Preferences — your chosen default tone, default length, and display name, stored so your preferences persist between sessions.
How we use this information
Collected information is used exclusively to: authenticate your account, enforce free/Pro plan limits, process subscription payments, and remember your preferences. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating ReplyMint.
Third-party services
- OpenAI — email thread text is sent to OpenAI's API to generate summaries and drafts. OpenAI's data handling is governed by the OpenAI API data usage policy.
- Supabase — used for authentication and storing account, usage, and preferences data.
- Paddle — used for subscription billing. Paddle is the merchant of record and handles all payment processing.
We do not sell personal information to any third party.
Data retention and deletion
Account and usage data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us. Email content is never retained, so there is nothing to delete.
Your control
You control when ReplyMint reads an email thread — it only acts when you click the "Summarize Thread" or "AI Reply" button. You can uninstall the extension at any time from chrome://extensions.
Chrome extension permissions
ReplyMint requests the following Chrome permissions:
- storage — to save your authentication session and preferences locally.
- identity — to support Google sign-in via Chrome's OAuth flow.
- Host access to mail.google.com — to inject the AI Reply and Summarize buttons into Gmail.
No other permissions are requested. ReplyMint does not access any tabs, history, cookies, or other websites.
